The Learning & Participation Department of the National Opera in collaboration with Fougaro organises a two-day adult training cycle on matters of education for people 65+, such as designing and organising educational and art workshop and the exchange of methodology and educational tools and materials.

Using and combining tools and materials from the arts of musical theatre, music, theatre and motion, the workshops are designed to develop and diffuse the knowhow required for a more inclusive and accessible way of designing, organising and implementing educational actions addressed to people 65+, with the long-term objective of enhancing the sense of belonging in a community and establishing the conditions for induction, acceptance and wellbeing.

In the 4 workshops (see schedule below) the participants will be able to attend and get involved in experiential seminars, interdisciplinary workshops and discussions on art education.  

The workshops are addressed to professionals in art and general education, cultural professionals, prospective educators, social workers, psychologists, caretakers of people 65+, individuals interested in incorporating the concepts of inclusivity and accessibility into their practice as well as anyone else with a special interest in art education. Prior knowledge in music, theatre or dance is not necessary.
