knitting workshop

with Christina Tsekoura
for teenagers & adults
September 2023 to May 2024

A workshop on the key principles of knitting!

Knitting is a stress-relieving, creative activity. It relaxes the mind as it gives shape to the yarn. This year we welcome those who wish to relax in a creative way using the humble yarn. Get to know the art of knitting and create your own knitwear — scarves, caps, leggings, blouses and purses or even objects to freshen up the look of your home!

In this cycle of lessons we learn:
Basic cast on, cast off; Mousse, Jersey, Stretchy ribbing; Basic stitch increasing and decreasing; Yarn changing technique; Technique for hiding the thread in the reverse side of the knitwear; We learn two easy fancy-knitting techniques, how to read knitting symbols, how to use circular needles.
