"The crow's black dress"
Book presentation
Sunday 8 May 2022

FOUGARO and AGRA PRESS invite you to the presentation of the new book "The crow's black dress" by Thodoris Gonis, on Sunday 8 May 2022 at 7pm at the FOUGARO ART CENTER.

Seven pieces of prose in a paradoxical, asthmatic style of writing. The seven stories in the book travel in the same place, which they describe but do not name. They tour the space of memory as it begins to weaken, to fade almost, so that the narrator is forced to build on the relics and the ruins of old actual events, to devise imaginary stories to counteract this loss. With the old materials he tries to build new stories, but he is dumbfounded to discover that stumbling upon his fictional inventions are all those things that have actually occurred, and he is unable to tell them apart.

Talking about the book will be KOSTAS KALFOPOULOS, writer and journalist, IOANNA GRIGORIOU, head of the Senior High School of Ermioni, and the author THODORIS GONIS. The discussion will be moderated by journalist YANNIS PANTAZOPOULOS. Excerpts from the book will be read by the actor LOUKIA MICHALOPOULOU and the author.

FREE ADMISSION on a priority basis
