Presentation of the latest book of Soti Triantafyllou
On Sunday 23 April 2023 at 7 pm FOUGARO welcomes Soti Triantafyllou for the presentation of her new novel, "Listen to the lion" (Patakis Press). The author will introduce her book, answer the audience’s questions and sign copies.
Listen to the lion
Listen to the lion is the portrait of the Leontaris family, whose history follows closely that of their Athenian neighbourhood of Fokionos Negri St, which was known as ‘the Greek Via Veneto’ in the 1960s and 1970s. Later, everything, or almost everything, went wrong: the family split into warring camps and they had their share of pain, illness, errors and disillusionment. Fokionos Negri St declined alongside the Leontaris family. In the novel, the sudden death of Elias revives in the memory of those left behind a festive childhood all around the city centre and in the go-kart tracks of the Athenian Riviera, and all the lost hopes of their youth.
