Florica P. Kyriacopoulos selects and curates a "pop up" exhibition with works from her collection. This is the first time that part of this collection is presented to the public.

An artist herself and founder of FOUGARO Art Space in Nafplio, Florica Kyriacopoulos started collecting art in the early ’80s.

Over time, the works of internationally acclaimed artists together with works by emerging or lesser-known practitioners came to form a unique collection that reflects the history of a gaze. It is the gaze of an artist (and collector) at the recent decades — a highly personal distillation of an era.

Even the composition of this show, the selection of these specific works over others, the way they are placed and they converse within FOUGARO Gallery — all these form part of a broader art project of Florica Kyriacopoulos: FOUGARO itself.

The exhibition comprises works of painting, sculpture, mixed media, constructions, video and photography by Marina Abramovic, Stephen Antonakos, Alexis Akrithakis, Joe Barnes, Georg Baselitz, Richard Deacon, Susy Gomez, Alfred Haberpointner, Julia Hürter, Dimitra Lazaridou, Annette Messager, Claire Moinil, Juan Muñoz, Aliki Palaska, Leda Papakonstantinou, Lila Polenaki, Les Rogers, Keith Sonnier, Sturtevant, James Turrell, Thanassis Totsikas, Klaus vom Bruch, Frantz West, Sue Williams, Pantelis Chandris.
