wall-mounted macramé workshop
Every Thursday in April and May, from 18.00 to 20.00 @MALLIACOUVARIA
In this 12-hour workshop, in six sessions, we get to know the tradition of macramé and its origins, learn some basic knotting techniques and combine them to create our own wall-mounted macramé artefact.
In this technique it is the immediacy of the creations, the use of our hand and natural materials that makes it such a favourite pursuit, along with its inexhaustible potential.
* The equipment that will be required is a tape measure and a pair of scissors.

Emilia Komninou
Living and working in Nafplio, she went into threads and knots from a very young age, making macramé bracelets before even knowing what the technique was. During a particularly quiet time which left space for some deep introspection, the idea was born for the “kobo kobo” project, a small business for handmade macramé creations and more which met her inner need for creating and her love of natural materials.
