An afternoon sleepover | Thursday 27 June, 18:00-22:00

NATIONAL GALLERY – NAFPLION ANNEX

An afternoon sleepover for children aged 5-10 will be held in June at the Nafplion Annex of the National Gallery. The sleepover starts with a musicokinetic workshop in the Museum’s yard, next to the outdoor sculptures. Do you think there are creatures hiding in the yard? Creatures that produce sounds and then put them all together in a row? Could it be that Orpheus, whom we know from the myths, is also there to compose music with them? The children are called upon to explore sounds, myths and music in the yard of the museum and build their own instruments inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Then they will discover the museum’s permanent collection, and gain some unique experiences as they carry out the actions.

The musicokinetic workshop is implemented by music educator Maija Papageorgiou. The sleepover is organised with the aid of the music educators of the educational department of Fougaro.
