Interdisciplinary Workshop: Digitality and Politics | 9 & 10 December 2023
FOUGARO ARTCENTER hosts the 21st interdisciplinary workshops of Topika on Digitality and Politics.
Twenty-three academics and researchers from universities across the country will come together for two days, on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December, to discuss, exchange views, explore and clarify the multiple facets —philosophical, legal, anthropological, feminist, cultural, etc.— of the relation between digitality and politics. It is a topical issue that raises crucial questions around governance and state administration, transparency, the function of institutions and political parties, policy formation and collective decision-making, political communication, the forging of political relations and subjectivities; also, questions around labour relations, the experience of everyday reality, social control and resistance, art and culture.
Topika is a series of events organised by the non-profit Society for the Study of Human Sciences (ΕΜΕΑ). As an initiative for interdisciplinary discourse, it aims at updating ideas, theoretical hypotheses and research issues as well as promoting collaboration among different fields and disciplines. The 21st workshop is supported by e-polis of the future, a research programme headed by Gerasimos Kouzelis, Emer. Professor of the University of Athens.
