Hastings High School Orchestra

Hastings High School is one of the oldest public high schools in the state of Minnesota, USA. The concert in Greece comprises 94 future musicians and 3 conductors.

Bryce Sanville is the orchestra conductor. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Music Education, he has been active in conducting and performance in collaboration with numerous theatre troupes for productions such as Disaster, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wizard of Oz and others. These days he teaches the orchestra of students from grades 5 to 12, training over 260 individuals.

Josh Wahlstrom is the percussion director/arranger for the  Hastings High School Marching Band. A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, as a student he was a principal percussionist in the Gustavus Wind Orchestra. He studied under Douglas Nimmo, Steve Wright and Bob Adney. Today he remains active as a teacher and adjudicator in percussion contests.

Emily Chandler directs the Hastings High School Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band and has been in charge of the Raiders Marching Band since 2001.  Emily Chandler graduated with honors from Winona State University. As an active member of MBDA (Minnesota Band Directors Association), she has held multiple leadership roles in the Southeast Honor Band Program, including coordinator, guest conductor and clinician.

Blake School Orchestra

Blake School is an independent 12-grade school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1900, it has 1,330 students and 350 teachers and other staff. Their concert in Greece will be featuring 91 young musicians.

Blake offers a rigorous education grounded in shared values — respect, love of learning, integrity, courage and a commitment to pluralism. 

The music curriculum at Blake offers a band, choir and orchestra as well as jazz ensembles, a strings room, groups and a capella choirs. 

The choir and orchestra were recently selected to perform at a statewide convention for the music educators of Minnesota.

Eastview High School Choir

Eastview High School is a public school in Minnesota with some 2,200 students between the ages of 14 and 18.

The School provides a wide range of academic, artistic and athletic opportunities. Since its establishment in 1997, Eastview's students have been top performers on a par with their peers from other schools across the country. 

The choirs of Eastview High School are a model of excellence in Minnesota, having performed at some of the world's famous venues such as New York's Lincoln Center and St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. 

Eastview's singers are active members of the school community, with a presence in theatre, dance, orchestra and debate projects while pursuing a rigorous academic curriculum.
