Art Workshop

A fun, colourful adventure awaits 6+ children every Sunday, aimed at acquainting them with art through a series of activities like painting, constructions, monotypes, collage and more.

The children experiment with many different materials and techniques, guided by imagination and inspiration to create their own unique works of art.

Yanna Karayanni

Born in Athens, she is a graduate of Pierce College and the Athens School of Fine Arts, with parallel studies at the School of Fine Arts of Rome (painting, anatomy, history of art & culture) and the Vakalo School in Athens. Her studies also include numerous seminars on technology and image, the arts, photography and environmental art in the USA, specifically at Harvard and the MIT. She has taught, mainly in secondary education in Greece, America and Germany, the subjects of Art History, Painting, Technical Drawing, Image creation for digital programmes. Her personal work includes painting, digital art, stage props made using new media. She has participated in exhibitions in Greece and abroad and was head of art exhibitions for the Art Gallery of the Cultural Organisation of the City of Athens. An avid animal lover, she is active in defending animal rights, individually or through institutions, and is unique at turning ‘refuse’ into small works of art!
