In these comics classes children get a taste of how a comic strip is created from scratch.
The teaching proceeds through three main components: text, characters and drawing (inking). The children will be equipped with mechanisms which combine their imagination with the discipline the brain needs to build a story from scratch. In the context of the classes we shall acquaint ourselves with such famous practitioners as Katsushika Hokusai, Frank Miller, Hergé, Alan Moor and discover the technique of action drawing.

Orestis Ladenis
Born in Athens in 2000, he grew up in Nafplio. He is in his final year at the Athens School of Fine Arts, majoring in painting under Zafos Xagoraris and Costas Christopoulos. He has had painting lessons at the studios of Vassiliki Sangioti in Nafplio and Christos Michailidis and Antonis Kapnissis in Athens. Since 2018 he teaches art and preparatory courses for entry in Schools of Fine Arts and is active in illustration and comics. In 2019 he illustrated the walls of the Swimming Pool of Nafplio. In 2018 he started studying at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatoire. From 2020 to this day he collaborates with the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, and since 2022 with FOUGARO.
