Not I
The play is not about the story told but about the fact that it is told.
It’s the intensity of the language that interests me, not the content.
Samuel Beckett
Samuel Beckett's emblematic one-act play Not I is staged by director Victoria Karakasoglou. One body. One Mouth. Four young actresses. The stage is silent. Time seems to stop. Sounds turn into words… an incessant flow of words.
The Mouth calls upon the viewers to face themselves. Beckett reminds us that light is always there, even in the darkest moments of human existence.
Can humour possibly exist within loss…?
