Familiarise yourselves with the tools and materials used to make mosaics. Master the techniques of cutting and shaping different materials and learn how to attain the precision necessary to make a mosaic of your own.

Nicole Anastasatou

Nicole Anastasatou obtained a diploma in Applied Arts from the Dept of Mosaic and Stained Glass of Sivitanidios School and a degree in Antiquity & Art Conservation from the Athens TEI. From 1991 to 2003 she worked as art conservator for the Ministry of Culture at museums and archaeological sites in the Cyclades (Delos, Santorini, Samos, Kythnos, Paros, Naxos, Mykonos) and at the restoration works in the archaeological site of Epidaurus. From 2003 to this day she works as head conservator for the American School of Classical Studies at Athens in the excavation at Corinth. Moreover, since 1997 she has served as instructor of Antiquity Conservation Technicians and Museum & Archaeological Site Guards at public Professional Training Institutes (IEK). Her mosaics can be found in private residences and hotels.
