SCIENCE is FUN!
Can science be fun as well?
Yes, if it is presented in attractive, digestible and entertaining ways by specialists in the communication of science.
Science is all around us. Everything is subject to the laws of science. Let us get together and explain simple scientific matters through the demonstration of some beautiful and educative scientific experiments.
Through STRIKING AND CLEVER EXPERIMENTS...
Science in real life, with simple everyday materials familiar to all.
A series of experiments shows how science is not confined to the laboratory. The phenomena of physics and chemistry are part of our everyday reality; part of the world in which we live, work and create.
Scientific thinking, combined with play and imagination, can arrive at spectacular results and bring about satisfaction, pleasure and joy.
It may be hard to believe, but you will soon be convinced that some astounding scientific experiments can be carried out with simple everyday materials available in every home. They will take you on a journey of exploration within the realm of science.
The educational action includes experiments from all scientific fields, involving chemical reactions, natural phenomena, phosphoric materials or even explosions!
The fascinating outcome of each experiment leads our young scientists to the next, keeping their interest unabated.
The experiments involved are totally safe, carried out either under the guidance of specialist scientists or in the form of demonstrations.

Science is Fun - Science Communication
Chemist, University of Athens
Born in 1966 in Brazil, he grew up in the Thission area of Athens. He graduated from the Science School with a degree from the Chemistry Dept of the University of Athens, specialised in Science Communication.
He has worked for the Doping Control Laboratory of the ‘Spyros Louis’ Olympic Sports Centre of Athens, as researcher with the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry of the University of Athens in collaboration with the Biochemistry Lab of the Nuclear Research Centre of Saclay, France (with a paper delivered at the 23rd European Peptide Symposium; September 1994, Braga, Portugal), with the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems and Forest Products Technology, and with the Directorate of Environmental Hygiene of the Regional Unit of East Attica.
Since 2008 he has focused exclusively on Science Communication. In May 2015, in collaboration with the Society of Greek Physicists, he develops SCIENCE IS FUΝ, his own original educational initiative that presents natural sciences through a series of attractive scientific experiments addressed to students of all school levels using a unique and spectacular combination of demonstrated experiments and lecturing.
He is also part of the Science Reactors team of science communication and collaborates with the non-profit educational organisations of “Atraktos –School of Life”, “Science Communication – SciCo”, the experiential Paradise Park and the “Planet Physics” museum, while since 2021 he has been present at all Kastellorizo Puzzle Festivals.
From 2018 to this day he has expanded this alternative educational programme, presenting it with great success to over 870 schools of primary and secondary education.
In February 2023 he established his own company of the same title, SCIENCE IS FUN, whose main aim is the communication of science with additional services that support Education through the development, design and presentation of educational programmes.
