sculpture workshop
On the occasion of the exhibition Yannis Pappas | in search of Alexander, a joint project of FOUGARO ARTCENTER and the BENAKI MUSEUM, a sculptural workshop on the subject of Horse & Rider will be held by the eminent sculptor Praxitelis Tzanoulinos, a student of Yannis Pappas.
During the workshop the participants will fashion a sculpture of their own, triggered by one of the works of Yannis Pappas. They will work to convey the impression they get from the art of Yannis Pappas, following a discussion with Praxitelis Tzanoulinos and his associates. Guided by them, the participants will make use of easily worked materials like plasticine or clay to create their three-dimensional work.
At the end of the workshop, any participants who wish to transfer their work onto a harder material, such as plaster, will be given detailed instructions and assistance.
