"Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible."
Paul Klee
Rendering real space in the two dimensions of painting. Composition, light, shade, tonal grades, hues; we experiment with many different materials and techniques, discovering some interesting visual routes.
We begin with a selected composition of objects, making use of measuring equipment. We try to complete each subject in a week, aiming at properly placing the objects on paper, in the correct proportions and with the tonal gradations created by light.
Art works as a bridge between our conscious and unconscious, shedding light on aspects of our self which remain invisible in an everyday context.
